Winter Audio Trail for families Dec 23-Jan 24

For winter 2023-2024 Stroud Town Council have created a ten stop audio trail around the town. We hope families will enjoy spotting the animals and solving the riddles.

At each stop there is a QR code for Smart Phone use. If you point your camera at the code it should automatically open a sound file.

Alternatively, you can download the 11 audio files before you go to town.

A print out of each location and riddle can be collected from Stroud Town Council offices, 58 London Road. The offices are open from 9.30-12.30 each day. You can do the trail without audio too!

Here is the start of the story:

In the valleys around the lovely market town of Stroud, there lived two winter monsters named Duorts and Duorp.

One day, Duorp, the smaller snow monster, felt a bit scared about the upcoming winter. Would it be too cold? Would the snow be too deep? To help ease Duorp's worries, Duorts, the older and slightly wiser of the two, decided to take him on a special adventure to visit their animal friends in their habitats. Duorts and Duorp reached the homes of the friendliest animals of the area. These furry and feathery friends were delighted to welcome the snow monsters into their winter habitats.

To distract little Duorp from his worries, the animals had a splendid plan. They began asking riddles that made Duorp's fluffy head spin.

At each location on the trail you will meet an animal, get set a riddle to solve and be told where to go to collect the answer and the next riddle!
