Exciting News from Stroud Town Council!

Helen Bojaniwska here, CEO of Stroud Town Council enjoying a one-week takeover of Mayor Davey's weekly column. I have thrilling news to share. We have the keys to the former Locking Hill surgery, and our contractors are already hard at work transforming it into the space our community deserves.

We're aiming for a more open, friendly, and shareable location. We want this to be a place that you, our residents, feel is truly your own - a space that enhances the stability and social fabric of our town.

Our vision is clear: we're creating a space that will serve our community. The former Locking Hill Surgery will soon house our community development officers, office staff and offer meeting rooms for public hire. This move will dramatically improve our ability to serve you and engage with local organisations.

We're particularly excited about the opportunities for partnership working with the great organisations that serve the public in Stroud. We're committed to accommodating the needs of Stroud's community organisations, providing space for them to host clinics and meetings on our premises.

We're currently deliberating on what to name this new location to reflect its fresh purpose. We'll be asking for your opinion on this matter soon, so watch this space!

The Town Council is our most local tier of government, here to help with issues people really care about day-to-day. This building is for everyone, and regenerating the site at this key gateway to Stroud just makes good sense.
