Defibrillators

There are five public access defibrillators (also known as AEDs) owned by Stroud Town Council installed in the parish.

These life-saving devices, which can shock a person's heart back into a normal rhythm if they go into cardiac arrest, are located at:

  • HSBC in King Street
  • Midcounties Co-operative Food in Slad Road
  • The Door Youth Project at the top of the High Street
  • The Cotswold Playhouse in Parliament Street
  • The Cotswold Canal Trust visitors' centre in Wallbridge

You don't need to be trained to use a defibrillator; there are clear instructions, anyone can use one.

If you do need to use one, call 999. The 999 call handler will know where the closest defibrillator is and will be able to give you a code to access it.
