Earlier this year we asked people to pledge whatever they could afford to support the future of the Subscription Rooms in Stroud.
The Town Council is now ready to take over ownership of the building, and, working in partnership with the Stroud Subscription Rooms Trust, we’re planning some exciting improvements to the building and interiors which will increase enjoyment of this venue for many more generations to come.
We will be submitting a planning application very soon so work can potentially start in Summer 2019. You can view our plans here.
The building was originally built by public subscription, so this is your opportunity to be one of the first 21st Century Subscribers by making an online donation.
Or to pay by cash/cheque, please download a form here, fill it in and post or hand it in at the Stroud Town Council offices at: 58 London Road, Stroud, GL5 2AD. (Please do not post cash.)
If you donate more than £25 your name will be added to a Subscribers list that will record your involvement for years to come and you will also receive a limited edition Subscriber badge designed by local artist Clay Sinclair.
If you wish to donate less and would still like to be recorded in history, fear not – just get together with others and make a group entry or via your organisation.
