People concerned about the roads in Stroud can join a new group which aims to make the town’s streets safer.
The Town Council and County Councillor Eva Ward launched the new Road Safety group last month.
Its second meeting in on Tuesday April 24 at 7.30pm at the Town Council offices in London Road.
Concerned businesspeople and residents are being invited to join the group and take a pro-active part in road safety.
“This is an important issue and one which we hope to address with the energy and enthusiasm of local residents,” said Councillor Ward.
Town Mayor Kevin Cranston said: “This work will dovetail with existing projects that we are looking at to promote alternative forms of transport such as cycling, walking and bus/ rail transport and hopefully make travelling around Stroud safer for all.”
