The council provides grants to Stroud Fringe, the Food and Drink Festival and the Walking Festival.
The Stroud Fringe offers three days of great family entertainment.
From August 31 local and national acts will perform a wide range of music on three main stages in the town centre. The festival is free of charge and run by a team of dedicated volunteers.
Put on your walking boots and discover Stroud Valleys’ gems. There are a range of walks, focussing on nature, mills and art and will cater for a range of abilities from the experienced walker to the disabled.
The walking festival runs for three weeks from September 8.
On September 8 the Festival of Nature returns to Stratford Park. It brings together a wide range of organisations and people who work, live and enjoy the natural world.
There are dozens of stalls and activities on offer.
