The Town Council has three grant programmes.
The objective of the Small Grants Programme is to support and encourage a diverse range of youth and community activities, initiatives and events that meet the needs of Stroud Parish residents. We provide small grants to organisations of between £50 and £500.
We also offer Community Support Fund Grants of between £500 and £3,000 to help groups and organisations that work to strengthen Stroud’s community.
The Arts and Culture Fund provides grants of between £500 and £5,000 (normally no more than £3,000) for projects and events that will benefit people in Stroud parish through cultural activity.
Most of the 2017–18 budget for Arts and Culture grants has now been committed. If you would like to apply for a grant please contact the Town Clerk to discuss your application before completing the application form. Please note that the Small Grants fund is also available for arts and cultural projects and events.
All of our grant programmes favour applications for support for activities that build the capacity of community groups to support themselves. In addition the Council is keen to support projects that fight and prevent racism and xenophobia. Decisions on grant awards are made by the Town Council's Finance, Community and Policy Committee, at three meetings each year. Applications must be received no later than 3 weeks before the relevant meeting.
