One of Father Christmas’s elves painted children’s faces to help raise more than £125 towards hampers for families in need.
Elf Izzie welcomed 45 children into the grotto at Stroud Town Council’s Goodwill Evening where they took selfies with Santa.
The event raised £125 for Stroud District Foodbank. It included a £10 donation and £15 made from the face painting. John Coneley’s Funfair donated toys for Santa’s sack.
Sheral Gardner, assistant town clerk, said: “The children were excited to meet Father Christmas and take selfies with him before getting a present.
“Stroud Foodbank is making lovely Christmas hampers that will be given to people who need a bit of help to make their Christmastime nice. The Goodwill Evening was a fun way to raise some money to help that happen.”
