Organised by Stroud Town Council the market will feature locally-made, Fairtrade and vintage items. They will make perfect presents or you could find something you cannot resist for yourself.
Entrance is free to the event at Lansdown Hall from 10am-4pm. It will feature 20 artists from across the county.
Town council mayor Amanda Moriarty, who is a professional glass maker and teacher, is hopeful it will be the first of many events.
“Stroud has such a rich arts heritage that continues today with many artists and makers working in our town.”
“The town council wanted to organise something that celebrates all this creativity and provide an extra incentive for people to visit the town centre.”
Among the crafts on offer will include glass, textiles, ceramics, basketware, wood bowls and furniture. There will also be a pop-up stall selling soup, cakes and teas and coffees.
