Paul Mapplebeck and Eva Ward will represent Farmhill/Paganhill Ward along with current councillor Haydn Sutton.
A retired social worker, Paul knows Stroud well as he worked in the town while employed by Gloucestershire County Council.
He moved to Stroud from Dursley three years ago. He plans to put his interest in young people and the elderly to use while sitting as a councillor.
“I have a particular interest in services for children and young people and welcome the opportunity to help develop these in Stroud,” he said.
“I look forward to working to keep Stroud as a pleasant environment and a thiriving community,” he said.
Eva Ward also worked as a social worker in the Stroud area for 26 years until leaving to work in international development in Bulgaria.
She has been involved in several campaigns including saving Stroud maternity services and was a parish councillor in Thrupp.
“I am interested in the changing face of the High Street and want to be pro-active and find innovative ways to keep our town alive,” she said.
