Gloucestershire Minibus Scheme wins grant support

24th February 2011 By strPST

The council also approved a £100 grant to Down to Earth Co-operative towards personal and protective equipment and clothing, tools and resources for volunteers. Grants of £500 were awarded to Uplands Care Service towards a washer/dryer and a freezer and PhotoStroud to publicise and promote a Stroud based programme of events.

Councillor Amanda Moriarty who chairs the committee said the latest awards indicated the Town Council’s efforts to support the many voluntary and community-based projects which form a vital part of town life.

“It never ceases to amaze me how many residents give up their time to get involved in helping other people on a community level,‘ she said. ‘I am always keen to talk to local groups interested in applying for a grant."

Forms and guidance can be downloaded from here or picked up from our office in London Road. Alternatively you can phone us on 01453 762817 and we’ll pop one in the post.
